There's a great article over at MarketingBlurb by my colleague Susan Gunelias. She talks about the new movie "Cloverfield", which looks kind of like "The Blair Witch Project" on Godzilla-caliber steroids.
Susan makes an interesting observation in her post:
"From the beginning, Abrams (the director of the movie) has stated that his plan was to create a monster movie for the YouTube generation, so viral marketing was a natural extension of that vision."
Which begs the question from me: What are you...
...doing as a sales professional to make your product or service wanted by the YouTube generation? What kind of viral marketing have you or your company done lately (or ever)?
It's something to think about. If you're serious about being successful in the coming years, that is.
The sales professionals that actively look for ways to stay ahead of their large, slow-to-change companies will ensure that their sales careers don't wind up like the poor citizens of New York in this movie: Bloodied, scared and running for their lives.
