Longtime pro basketball coach Pat Riley has this quote that caught my attention:
"Excellence is the gradual result of always wanting to do better."
So that begs the question of you, Mr. or Miss sales professional: Do you really care about your sales career? If so, what are you doing about it?
I mean, what are you doing to get better at it. On a daily basis, what are you doing to improve yourself?
Are you reading sales books from people you trust and admire who are experts in their field? Are you reading blogs like this one and the one over at TopLeadGenerators? You should.
You have to invest in yourself daily so that you can continually (and gradually) improve your craft, interact with customers more effectively, and get better at what you do: Sell.
Make it a point to invest in your own sales career in between the busy days of selling.
