A Great Sales Lead E-Mail Letter That Lures You In, Wraps You Up, and Gets Your Prospect to Buy

This is an exercise, so I need your help.  I'll warn you in advance that this is going to take about ten to fifteen minutes, so get ready.

First, read this.

Go ahead...I'll wait...

OK...you back?

Did you read it?

Great.

Here's what I got out of this letter, which is web based, and is part of a newsletter that I regularly read and enjoy:

  • It's not you typical 30-second commercial on paper.  It's long, it bounces around, and it peppers you with lots of different ideas.
  • It has lots of testimonials.  Their past attendees sell you on wanting to go to the conference.
  • There's mystery.  They give you about 60% of what you really want to know, but you know you need to go to the conference to get the other 40%.
  • It ends with a call to action...if you register now, you'll save $200 of the registration price.

As a direct marketer, you could learn a lot from this letter.  It's a great approach to selling, and more than that it's a great approach to getting the attention of your audience and keeping it until they buy.

The marketing for this event claims that you can go there without a solid business idea, and come away with one that will be great.  Or, it will take your existing business idea and build on it.It's from Early to... [Read More]

To me it just looks like another commercial on paper. I got bored with reading it before I even got to the first Q/A.

Nice blog btw, keep it up.

Another classic TGTBT - the event producers are the money makers.

No use whatsoever. Same ol same ol....THEY are the only money makers in the equasion.

Thanks for the comments, everyone.

I just wanted to clarify that my main point in this blog post was to point out the effectiveness of how they build their "commercial" on paper. It was not comment or recommendation as to what they offer, and I agree that they probably make a LOT of money from their seminar that they are advertising.

That being said, it is a great use of language to get a prospect to read about what they are offering. You can easily transfer their concepts into your own business' offerings.

Thanks for reading, and thanks for all the great comments!
