Pretty cool degree program that I just heard about at the College of St. Catherine, a Catholic women's school in Minnesota.
It's a degree in sales. It's one of the only programs in the country of its kind, and offers a pretty broad range of study in the area of sales. This is from the CSC website:
The Center offers two baccalaureate sales degrees with
concentrations in Business-to-Business Sales, Healthcare Sales, and certificate programs in both Business-to-Business Sales and Healthcare Sales. Students interested in Financial Services Sales can complete a Business-to-Business Sales major with a Finance Minor.
In addition to sales courses, students receive a broad business background in accounting, finance, marketing, and business ethics. Through the college's strong liberal arts requirements, students develop the ability to think critically and communicate effectively. Ethics and integrity in sales are woven throughout the curriculum, as are skills in oral and written communication, leadership, strategy and technology. The curriculum, combined with internships, mentoring and shadowing experiences, give students real-world exposure, plus a strong conceptual framework for successful practices in Business-to-Business sales.
