A recent e-mail I received from justsell.com made a great point on why its so important to pay attention to the details and "sweat the small stuff", whether you are a pro golfer, drive fast cars or are a sales professional:
At this year's U.S. Open Golf Championship, an Angel beat a Tiger by 1 stroke and earned $648,664 more.
At this year's Daytona 500, the winner took the checkered flag by 0.02 seconds and banked nearly $400,000 more than the second place finisher.
How many sales were lost, quotas not met, jobs jeopardized and careers ended because the individual did not pay attention to the details? Millions, no doubt.
Any shortcoming or failure that I can remember in my own professional life came as a result of not sweating the small stuff in some way, shape or form.
The details matter in your sales career. What can you do today to pay closer attention to them?
