
Billionaire businessman Mark Cuban had this great quote that is a must for any good sales pro to remember. It is part of an article in Selling Power magazine that talked to the successful entrepreneur and sales pro:
"We're all benefactors. To succeed, you not only need to be able to get along with people... those people also have to feel like they're getting something out of the relationship."
That means you have to do more than just sell to them. You need to give value first, form a relationship, and put their needs above your own.
Tough to do? Yup. And that's why only 20% of salespeople are making 80% of the sales.
