For decades, selling through advertising changed very, very little. But just in the last decade or so, with the maturation of the Internet and the way companies, advertisers, and buyers use it, selling through advertising has been changing at amazing speed.
Now Seth Godin and the gang at Squidoo have launched what they are calling SquidOffers. I won't go into a whole explanation of how it works here (that's why active links are in existence), but its an interesting idea who's time has come...I hope it works for them.
If it does, it will be yet another step in the evolutionary process of making advertising something that the buyer controls, not the advertiser. That's a profound change, really, considering that this evolutionary process started just recently.
Will it work? Sure. How well it will work is the big question.
