PowerPoint can either make the sale, or kill it.
It can either stir an audience's mind, or put them to sleep.
It will either keep your audience focused on you, or on the slides that you're trying to talk to them about.
I found two great resources for sales professionals (and anyone else, really) who use PowerPoint to sell their ideas or products:
- Guy Kawasaki's "10-20-30 Rule" for PowerPoint Presentations. What is it? Click here to read his blog and find out.
- There are also some great tips for PowerPoint presenters at PresentationZen, a blog guide on lots of topics that surround the use of PowerPoint. Good stuff here, too.
Spend some time this weekend taking a look at these two great reads. If you're like me, you'll find more than one area that you need to change when it comes to creating truly great PowerPoint presentations for your next sales meeting.
P.S. If you want to see a great little eBook by Seth Godin on "Really Bad PowerPoint", click here. It's also a very useful tool when it comes to creating really good PowerPoint.
