What I would add to Seth's already great list: Reading sales books, or and spending an extra hour at night researching tomorrow's customer sales calls.
That's not a knock against Seth or any other sales author or speaker. I love them all, and have learned a lot from them. But there's a second component to the sales success equation that goes along with the "always keep learning and improving" component: GET OUT THERE AND WORK HARD. Do the stuff that isn't fun, but almost certainly creates a better chance for success. Turn off the TV, and do things that will prepare you for the next day.
By the way, Seth's list originates from an article he did for Fast Company magazine, a publication that I used to love (back when Godin wrote for it) but has lately turned into an artsy-fartsy business theory rag that I am very disappointed in (which is a whole separate post, actually).
Work hard, or make excuses and be a lazy sales professional. The choice is yours...
