If you're buying Noka Chocolate, you're doing just that.
Is it worth it? Depends on how you define "worth".
Seth Godin's book, "All Marketers Are Liars", does a great job of relating how we love to buy things that we can believe in...things whose story we love, and have a connection with. That line of thinking appears to be the case with the customers of Noka Chocolate.
But as Seth and other bloggers note, the "story" behind price only lasts so long. Eventually, we do pay attention to the man behind the curtain. Eventually, the jig is up. Not so yet for Noka, but people can only buy mediocre chocolate in a fancy box at $2000 a pound for so long.
Still, what a great example of how important your "package" and your "story" are in the process of making the sale. I mean, seriously: If these people can sell chocolate for that much, how hard can it be to sell whatever it is you're selling?
