Seth Godin gives us a real-world example of really bad customer service during his visit to his local Radio Shack, and how he witnessed the RS staff ruining a customer relationship over a power cord.
Two thoughts immediately came to mind when I read the post:
- Radio Shack is still in business? Maybe not for long, if this is how they treat their customers.
- Maybe power cords are more valuable than a customer! After all, these technological wonders typically sell for $29 and up from what I've seen. They're like gold, apparently!
But it is a great lesson in how not to sell, especially if you're in retail sales. Thanks, Great One.
