A Jingle That Worked

So I'm in our kitchen helping to clean-up after dinner (Husband of the Year nominee) and I hear our 7-year old singing in the bathtub.  I can't quite make out the song, but it sounds familiar.

I get closer to the bathroom door.  I ask the nanny and the maid if they know what song she's singing. OK, OK...we don't have a nanny and a maid.  Technically, I fulfill many of those duties after 5pm most nights.  Anyway...

I finally figure out what my daughter is singing: "Free Credit Report dot com".  Over and over again.  "Free Credit Report dot com".

Have you heard that jingle?  Its all over the TV and radio.  It's a catchy little tune.

Now, not all of us can create our own jingle as sales professionals and air TV commercials about whatever it is we sell.  But we can have the same kind of memorable effect on those we come in contact with.

My daughter Kaley wasn't planning on singing a commercial when she  went to take her bath.  It just happened...it just popped into her head, and she had at it with all the gusto that a 7-year old can muster.  The same goes for your customers and prospects.  They don't plan on thinking about you or what you sell.  But if you're effective in branding yourself, and creating a memorable sales experience for your prospects, they'll be thinking about you.  And hopefully, those thoughts will make your customer as happy as FreeCreditReport.com apparently makes Kaley.
