Ron McDaniel has an interesting post about a recent get-together he had with a group of former co-workers. Ron mentions in the post that he was the only one of the nine former employees that had gone on to start his own business.
The main topic - and compaint - by Ron's former co-workers: Bad management. This fascinated Ron, and it interests me also....but from a different angle than Ron took with his post.
I wonder how so many people can sit there and complain and moan
about a bad manager (and lets face it, in sales there are lots of bad managers) but never take that disgust one step further and say to themselves, "Forget it! I'm going to be my own boss!" Ron did, but the other eight did not.
It's really an interesting question that sales professionals have to answer: "How much bad management will you endure before you go out and be your own manager?"
What's your answer to that question?

Nice to see you back.
Some of them said they could never be their own boss. They wanted paid well and to be treated well.
The money quote: "As soon as there is a problem I am the first mouse off the boat."
She better not start her own business if that is her attitude.
