We've all been there before: We take our wireless laptop on a sales call, business trip, or vacation. We "assume" that there will be a connection so that we can go online, only to discover there is no connectivity.
I found a cool resource called JiWire, which boasts "the largest public directory of WiFi hotspots" in the world. You can enter in your location, and their free service will locate the nearest WiFi hotspot. I especially like the hotel WiFi directory (I have an aversion to paying the hotel $14.95 per day just to check e-mail!)
I'm bookmarking the site...I think it could be a very useful tool.
