Mark, what is the greatest training need that you see out there among the managers and business owners that you train?
"Without a doubt, they want to find out how to motivate their people. In our world, we train accountants how to be accountants. We train doctors how to be doctors. But we never really train our leaders to lead...they just wind-up in leadership roles.
"But, you know what? They discover in our training sessions that they can't "motivate" their reps or workers! They can only help their people to find what motivates themselves. I try to help my clients bridge the gap between 'how do I motivate' to 'what motivates them'? That's the biggest challenge, I think."
