The LandingTheDeal Interviews

Well, the big week of interviewing the experts here at LandingTheDeal is over.  And what a week it was...in case you missed some of the big names that stopped by, and the incredible tips and stories that were shared, here's a quick review guide to the interviews with links back to the interviews.

If I were you, I'd read all of them in their entirty.  But that's just me.

  • Jeffrey Gitomer, best selling sales author, talked about selling via e-mail, when to fire your customer, and dealing with angry customers.
  • Ron McDaniel, President of Buzzoodle, a leading buzz marketing firm in Ohio.  Ron talked about creating buzz in your everyday sales career.
  • Seth Godin, aka The Great One, stopped by to talk about cold calling, the future of sales and marketing, permission marketing, and a lot more in our one-on-one interview.
  • Mark Giganti, sales trainer extraordinaire, shared his secrets to developing great managers, and what mistakes sales people need to correct in order to be successful.  Oh, and we wonder aloud how to get a tan like his!
  • Jim Holvay, former rock-n-roll star turned sales manager, on his unlikely - and sometimes hilarious - journey from writing songs that turned into gold records to writing deals that turned into golden commissions.  You'll laugh and learn from his personal story. 
  • Sam I Am, from "Green Eggs and Ham" fame, sits down with LandingTheDeal for a first ever one-on-one interview (he thought we were from Time Magazine...luckily, he didn't discover that until the end of the interview).  He shares how he did it, and why his story is now a timeless sales lesson for the ages.
