Second in a series:
Ron McDaniel at Buzzoodle is talking "buzz marketing" with LandingTheDeal, and how it can impact your sales and marketing efforts. Why is "buzz marketing" so darn effective?
Let's ask Ron...
Why does "buzz" marketing and selling work better than older,
more traditional methods (i.e., expensive advertising, cold calling, etc.)?
"I think that Buzz is more a philosophy than a different form of marketing. An advertisement can be the same old type of ad, or it can be different and get people talking. That is buzz."
"Today there are more and more channels to get more organic and natural messages out to people that care. Call it what you will, it is powerful, cheap and the only requirement is to have a good, interesting message and keep broadcasting it and in many different ways and coming up with new stories to tell."
One way to "be different" is to set-up a Squidoo lens, like the one Ron has set-up for himself (Seth Godin, who we're interviewing later this week, would love it!).
Good, interesting messages aren't "easy" necessarily, but they are effective. And if you're in sales, effective usually wins out over easy.
