In our ongoing talk with buzz marketing expert Ron McDaniel, founder
of the firm with a great name - Buzzoodle - we move on to the subject of how Ron sells his company in his local market of Kent, Ohio (noted for its unusually large population of black squirrels, by the way).
So, how does Ron do it?
"We only sell via our own philosophy, Dan, meaning only by creating word of mouth and buzz. I do a lot of speaking, blogging and eNewsletters which have generated all of our sales to date."
WHAT???? No expensive ad campaigns? No media buys? No cold calling? AND HE'S STILL IN BUSINESS???
The fact that Ron is building a successful business by creating buzz about his own buzz is a great lesson for any and all sales professionals. I got to know Ron and his work through his insightful blog. Now I'm blogging about him via his interview with us. And you know who he is, even if you don't live anywhere near the black squirrel infested city of Kent, Ohio.
