I give Chevy credit. They've scored big with their OnStar product on their fleet of Chevy and GM cars.
It answers a fundamental fear that all of us have when we're driving: What if something happens? What if I'm in a crash? What if there's a medical emergency?
OnStar calms those fears. And, according to recent reports, that sales strategy is paying off big time.
Want to Land the Deal?: Look for the other "secondary" reasons people are considering your product or service. Then, make that your primary selling message. Chevy, for example, isn't just selling a reliable car in the color you want. They're selling peace of mind that if something happens to you, you're one blue button away from help.
Find the OnStar within your product or service! Buyers will respond to it.

OnStar hardware is currently manufactured by Motorola, although early models were made by Delphi.
