For Ernesto and Janel, the fact that they are a husband and wife team in selling isn't just fun...it's essential.
"In this kind of sale," says Janel, "most of the buyers are women. It's a great atmosphere when we work as a couple."
And if Ernesto goes it alone?
"It doesn't go well," says Ernesto. "They are a little uncomfortable if its just a man in their home cooking dinner."
The sales lesson here is pretty simple: Know your audience, and make sure you're not doing anything that is going to make them uncomfortable in any way. There aren't too many sales that happen when the buyer is uncomfortable.
