Went to Petco the other day to pick up our dog and cat that my wife had dropped off to have trimmed and bathed. More on that in a second.
As I was waiting for them to get done, I browsed the aisles of this massive pet warehouse.
They had one wall, about 20 yards long, devoted to nothing but leashes. Colors, styles...they had it all. I was floored.
Then...
...I went down another aisle. I saw that they made wipes for dogs and cats. WIPES, people! They were selling moistened disposable wipes for animals.
An 80 count package of wipes cost...are you sitting down?...$14.99!
Here's the proof:
Want to see what a regular box of "human" baby wipes costs? $2.99 Same product, same 80 count.

And you say you can't sell whatever it is you're selling? You need a better story...more emotional ties...that's how Petco is doing it.
Oh, by the way...the cost for a trim and bath for one dog and one cat? $110.
And I paid it. I rest my case.
