Isn't it easier to buy something when the person selling it to you will let you try it first? For a week...30 days...whatever.
If you can't try it, don't you find it harder to buy? Granted, it may only take you another 30 seconds to rationalize why you need to buy it even though you can't try it, but still...it's harder, isn't it?
So as a sales professional, if you're having trouble selling your product or service, doesn't it make sense to let your customers try it first? If you're product is really great, they'll buy it. If it stinks, well, that's probably why you hesitating about giving it away for free.
Sit back and think of all the examples in your own life when you were allowed to try something with no obligation. Didn't you end up using it and purchasing it? So, why don't you do it now in your sales career?
