She was a sales rep (note that I don't use my normal term, "sales professional"). She works for a regional yellow pages book.
She was bad from start to finish:
- She called from her cell phone 10 minutes late for her appointment with my office. At one point she confidently asks, "You don't want me to come by still, do you?" Morbid curiosity prompted me to say, "Sure, we want to meet with you."
- Her clothes didn't match. It was really strange...an orange long sleeve blouse with striped lime green pants and a bright pink necklace. I'm no Noelle Wong but even I thought it was not only
bizarre dress, but downright distracting. - Not only did she beat around the bush when it came to pricing for their yellow pages ad, she almost begged us to not have to give the pricing during our meeting...instead, she wanted to e-mail it to us later that afternoon. I'm thinking, "If you don't give us pricing, WHY ARE YOU HERE!?!"
What's amazing to me is that she's employed, she's trusted with presenting company information, and she's doing what she did with us today at office after office after office.
