I'll try to make a really long story short (the long version involves my
wife and I finding out that our first ultrasound at Doctor's Office A in which we were told we were having a girl was wrong according to today's visit to Doctor's Office B...we're having a boy...to go with two girls, ages 10 and 6).
Upon breaking that news to us, our ultrasound technician immediately began selling their ultrasound services vs. the "other office".
"Our's are much more accurate, obviously," said the tech. "We also offer 4D ultrasounds. And, we're $80 less than the other place." We were given a brochure, and a strong recommendation that we make our appointment right away (close that sale, chick!).
You never know where you'll hear a sales presentation...they'll happen even when you're wife has goop all over her pregnant belly from a medical professional, who is obviously feeling the pinch from competing offices selling their ultrasound services to expectant moms and dads who just can't wait to see what junior looks like.
Nothing wrong with that...I'm just amazed that sales strategies have made their way into the ultrasound room!
